Kathy Griffin and her mother, Maggie Griffin, talked to CBS’s “Early Show” this morning about Maggie’s new book “Tip It.” Griffin’s 90-year-old mother has written a book about her life with help and interjections from Kathy — “unapproved,” Kathy is quick to point out: “I hijacked it.”
The two bantered about their similarities and differences, drinking wine, and the reception that the book has gotten. The title, Maggie explained, comes from the phrase exchanged after a group makes a toast with their wine glasses — but it also refers to the boxed wine she likes to drink, and how you have to tip the box to get the last of the wine out — just as you have to do with life, she says.
