But lest last week’s attention fade, Rihanna stepped out in a eye-catching outfit on Sunday night consisting of cute skinny denim, a Chanel biker hat, thick red lipstick and a sheer-paneled black bodysuit.

We love the jeans and the strong lip, but the bodysuit is one of those typically controversial Rihanna items: it’s provocative, skin-baring and would look horrible on anyone else but sorta works on the Barbados-born singer.

As for accessories (as if she needed any), Rihanna wore a complicated necklace-belly chain doodad and a new adornment we’d never seen before: a small tattoo in the shape of a gun.

While we admit that we’d never wear the mesh one-piece ourselves (which is what we say about all of Rihanna’s outfits), she looks pretty killer… no pun intended.

Madonna tickets are hard to come by and they are expensive, two things fans hate to deal with. However, Madge is not going to lower premium prices and expects fans to deal with it since she believe that she puts on a show worth the price of admission.

In a chat with Newsweek, Madge said, “Start saving your pennies now. People spend $300 on crazy things all the time, things like handbags. So work all year, scrape the money together, and come to my show. I’m worth it.” She was likely being cheeky or maybe she just think she’s is worth the high cost of admission? We don’t know!

When the singer debuted a sneak peek at her new platinum do (which she’ll sport on an upcoming cover of ELLE), we couldn’t help but think of another towheaded trouble maker: Taylor Momsen.

Madonna debuted her new single, “Give Me All Your Luvin’,” on Friday (February 3) as part of a massive multimedia push ahead of her halftime performance at Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis, Indiana, and has also revealed the track list for her much-anticipated 12th studio album, MDNA.

The Queen of Pop’s single was rolled out across Clear Channel’s many platforms, a promotional push that the company estimates will reach 150 million people around the world. In addition to radio, the song hit online venues like iHeartRadio.com, Clear Channel’s customized online radio service, and 1,600 digital billboards in the United States, France, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Singapore, Belgium, Finland and the United Kingdom, according to NPR.

“This first-of-its-kind multimedia premiere with Madonna demonstrates the unequalled scope and strength of the entire Clear Channel platform,” Clear Channel CEO Bob Pittman said in a statement.

The full-length Megaforce-directed video for the track also hit the Web Friday and features Her Madgesty and collaborators Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. taking to the streets in cheerleader-chic attire.

“Luvin’ ” is a bouncy dance-pop track reminiscent of Madonna’s Grammy-winning “Beautiful Stranger.” Driven by glittery synths, marching band drums and claps, the song features guest raps from Minaj and M.I.A. and a deep nostalgia streak. With its simple, impossibly catchy chorus and “dance our lives away” message, the song, which was written and produced by Madonna and dance music master Martin Solveig, feels like classic Madonna re-imagined by the production dynamic that brought her widespread acclaim beginning with her 1998 electro-dance album Ray of Light.

On her official website, Madonna revealed the track titles that will be featured on the deluxe edition of her new album, MDNA, which hits stores March 26 and features production work from Solveig and Light producer William Orbit.

Joe Francis – the mastermind behind “Girls Gone Wild” — is sending Madonna a cease and desist letter, threatening that he’ll take legal action if she sings the song from her new album — titled “Girls Gone Wild” — at the Super Bowl.

TMZ has obtained the letter that Francis has sent to Madonna and her “co-conspirators.”  Francis’ lawyer threatens to sue all of them for attempting to get a “free ride on the valuable consumer goodwill and brand recognition” of Joe’s famous trademark.

Francis’ lawyer makes it clear:  “Your misappropriation of my clients’ trademark will not be tolerated.”

But Francis is willing to cut a deal with Madonna, provided she agrees to the following terms:

– Negotiate an immediate licensing agreement for the use of Joe’s trademark
– Account for the number of times Madonna has already used the trademark
– NOT PERFORM THE SONG AT THE SUPER BOWL

Joe thinks NBC and the NFL are conspiring with Madonna, so the letter went to them as well.

Joe’s lawyer is demanding a response by 5 PM PT today … or else.

Adam Lambert is reportedly the new lead singer of Queen, the throne once held by rock icon Freddie Mercury.

The “American Idol” runner-up revealed the news in an interview with the Daily Star, saying, “The intention is to pay tribute to Freddie and the band by singing some f*cking great songs. It’s to keep the music alive for the fans and give it an energy that Freddie would have been proud of.”

Lambert added, “There’s no intention in my mind of replacing Freddie. That’s impossible.”

Mercury passed away in 1991 due to bronchopneumonia resulting from AIDS.

Lambert first met the band’s members Brian May and Roger Taylor when they performed “We Are the Champions” during his “Idol” finals in 2009.

He also performed with them at the MTV EMAs last November.

With the Super Bowl just two days away, Lady Gaga has football fever. Kind of.

Photographer Terry Richardson just posted a series of shots featuring the Monster-in-Chief, including one showing Gaga holding a pigskin in front of her bare chest.

Her hometown New York Giants, of course, will be playing the New England Patriots for the National Football League’s crown on Sunday.

In other photos, Gaga poses on a motorcycle and with the artist himself.

Madonna posted the cover art for MDNA on Facebook last night, and it looks the Material Girl is definitely still on top of her game! Can you believe this is her twelfth studio album!?

The CD is set for a March 26 release, and the first single, “Give Me All Your Luvin’,” featuring M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj, will be released on Friday. Madonna is set to perform the track at Super Bowl XLVI next Sunday — we’ll be watching!

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are one of the most famous young couples in the world, but according to her, the duo have nothing more than a “normal” relationship.

“I’m just like every 19-year-old girl. If you’re in love, you’re in love to the fullest, and you just want to go to the movies, hang out, and be as normal as possible,” she tells Cosmopolitan in its March issue.

She adds, “I’m fortunate that I’ve found someone who has that philosophy.”

The stars formally went public with their relationship nearly a year ago, at a post-Oscars party, an act that Gomez hints wouldn’t have been okay with a former famous beau.

The singer-actress reportedly explains to the magazine, “I was in a relationship previously where I had to hide everything and it wasn’t my choice. I had to go through different exits and take separate cars and do the craziest things, and it just really wasn’t worth it.

“It was like a year of my life completely wasted,” she adds.

Gomez has previously been linked to Nick Jonas and Taylor Lautner.

Rihanna is executive producing a TV show about fashion that will be inspired by Project Runway. On the show, British designers will be tasked with designing outfits for celebs.

In a statement, the “We Found Love” singer said, “I’ve always had a great love of fashion. It’s a constant source of inspiration in my life, and is a big reason why I’ve grown into the person and artist I am today.”

The show will be hosted by Nicole Roberts and will debut this summer. Let’s hope RiRi is a guest judge or is one of those celebs the aspiring designers for which the designers create an outfit.

In a sea of A-list contributions for will.i.am’s forthcoming solo album, the Black Eyed Peas mastermind recently dropped one name that will really get pop fans excited. Speaking with Capital FM, will teased that his Femme Fatale collaborator Britney Spears will make an appearance on the album, dubbed #willpower.

“I have a song with Alicia Keys — me, Alicia and Swedish House Mafia. I have a song with the Beats, which is pretty grand. Me and Shakira have been trying to finish the stuff we started, and me and Britney is really crazy,” he said. “So we got a song with me, LMFAO and Eva Simons, a song with me and Busta Rhymes and Swizz Beatz — I got a whole other bunch of collaborations.”

Spears and will.i.am last worked together on “Big Fat Bass,” a spacey, grinding party tune complete with clapping noises and some rapping from will himself. Their recording session was featured on the MTV special ”I Am the Femme Fatale.” There’s been no word yet from will’s camp about the song and whether this is a new track or if he will be including “Big Fat Bass” on the album.

The rapper/producer’s love for Brit is hardly anything new: He gushed to MTV News about the pop princessmonths after they recorded together. “[I discovered] her love for music. I never seen anyone, like, come alive, full of excitement and giggling and laughing behind the mic,” will recalled to MTV News. “She was like a little kid when she was recording the song, and it just brought the whole atmosphere, it changed the whole atmosphere when someone really loves music. So it was great working with her.”

His latest single, “T.H.E (The Hardest Ever),” featuring Jennifer Lopez and Mick Jagger, dropped late last year.#willpower, which also features “X Factor” judge Nicole Scherzinger, will be released later this year.

What on earth was dripping down Christina Aguilera’s leg during her performance at Etta James’ funeral on Saturday?

While Twitter and gossip websites may have joked otherwise, the official word is that fake spray tan was to blame for the mysterious dark liquid that dripped down her right leg while belting out “At Last.” The 31-year-old “The Voice” judge was clad in an otherwise demure black skirt suit and appeared unfazed by the accident, perhaps because she was focused on the more important task of commemorating her music idol, James, whopassed away on January 20th at age 73.

Over the weekend, Katy Perry debuted another shade of blue hair in Las Vegas. The newer, bluer hair was more turquoise than the look she had sported weeks before on the set of an Adidas commercial.

Katy is constantly changing her hair color from black to blond to pink, and seemingly every shade in between. These days, however, it seems she’s settled on blue. So, when MTV News spoke to her longtime hair colorist, Rita Hazan, she gave us the low-down on why Ms. Perry is feeling so blue these days.

“Of course, being Katy, she is a lot more edgy and she’s cooler and she likes to take a lot of risks. And I love that she’s like, ‘I’m feeling a little blue, let’s go blue’ — not in her energy, just in her hair color,” Hazan explained to MTV News about the pop star’s current hair-color choice. “I felt like it’s the perfect color for her because her eyes are blue and she has the perfect skin tone to be a really vibrant, really cool, intense blue.”

When Hazan first heard about Perry’s decision to deepen her locks to blue, she wanted her to be a “cobalt blue, muted cobalt blue; it’s really cool. It took me three days to come up with this color. I’m so obsessed with it. It’s like the wallpaper for my iPhone.”

Since then, the color has lightened up a bit, but regardless of the shade, the hair still has everyone buzzing. “I was shocked by all the crazy reactions that people had to the blue ’cause I thought going from black to pink would have been the major reaction people would have,” she said. “But I kind of like that people are loving the blue ’cause I’m obsessed with blue. So any shade of blue, I’m loving. I know it’s not natural, but it sort of works in a natural way.”

Of course, her hair color might have something to do with her recent split from Russell Brand. Kimberley Pierce, a colorist at Ion Studio in New York City, explained that she’s seen many a newly single chick come in and change up their mood with some new hair color. “They’ll come in for a consult and say, ‘My boyfriend and I just broke up and I want brown hair’ and they’re a blonde,” she said, adding that she usually has some advice for those rash decisions. “The best thing we can do for them is tell them to try a wig on first.”

Whatever Katy’s reason for the shocking, eye-catching color change, Pierce added that it really works for her.

“I kind of like that she got away from the pink because I feel like we’ve seen that so much. With the blue, it’s more vibrant and definitely she’s on her own with it,” she said. “She’s kind of all the way in with the blue. She’s kind of this candy-coated sort of person. So I guess blue would be the natural transition, or purple. It’s nice to see her experiment with different things.”

Madonna is giving her fans an early dose of her new track M.D.N.A.

The 53-year-old singer, who is collaborating with M.I.A. on the new album, said the following to MTV News:

“With producer William Orbit, I don’t really a have a discussion. We’ve worked on stuff for so many years that we kind of finish each other’s sentences. He knows my taste and what I like.”

Madge is gearing up to perform the half time show at the Super Bowl on February 5. Various reports claim that the “Like A Virgin” singer will be joined on stage by LMFAO and Cee Lo Green.

Epic Records chairman and CEO (and X Factor judge) L.A. Reid has taken to Twitter to reveal that the long-awaited follow up to Fiona Apple’s 2005 album Extraordinary Machine will drop in 2012. Yeah, okay, we aren’t holding our breath. We heard a new Apple album was due in 2011, and those plans obviously never materialized, so, we’re a bit skeptical and cynical, even though we love L.A. Reid.

Reid tweeted: “Lots of good music coming from @Epic_Records in the next few weeks. Stay tuned music fans. Welcome back Fiona!” She supposedly recorded the album a bit ago, too!

Again, our hopes are up and we hate having them dashed, so don’t be lying to us or playing with our emotions, L.A.

Demi Lovato’s PR team quickly shot down reports that the 19-year-old was back in rehab, telling Perez Hilton,“The story was fabricated. It is completely untrue.”

Lovato’s reps also contacted the source of the allegations, a website called BlindGossip, to inform them that as of “today, Jan. 25, Demi Lovato is not a resident at an in-patient treatment center.” The website notes that her reps would not confirm Lovato’s sobriety and said they would not be releasing any statements about her sobriety or personal health, adding the singer can be expected to be seen in public, in Los Angeles later today when she attends at medical appointment.

The statement was issued after BlindGossip reported that Lovato had been admitted to Passages, a well-known rehab center in Malibu, where she was being treated for alcohol and drug addiction. The site claimed that the singer was “living a double live” — one minute promoting her friend Hanna Beth Merjos’ “Sober is Sexy” clothing line and drinking and doing drugs the next.

As Crushable points out, what’s interesting about this story is that BlindGossip directly addressed the celebrity they were writing about.

In a blind item published on Jan. 19, the site called out the as-of-then unnamed celeb, writing:

Let’s cut to the chase, and get more direct: Look, we know that you and your friends are reading this. It is absolute madness for you to think that this will end well. You are a beautiful and talented girl, but you ARE going to lose your fans and your career and probably your life if you keep this up.

And today BlindGossip again alleged that Lovato and her friends read their site, explaining that when they heard she was “slipping back into destructive habits, [BlindGossip] felt it was our responsibility to address her directly.” The site claims that Demi was furious with the report, but several of her friends helped her see that she really had a problem and were able to get the star into a rehab center.

It’s well-known that Lovato was treated from October 2010 to January 2011 for eating disorders and self-harm, but again, reps for the singer adamantly deny that their client is currently in rehab.

It is worth pointing out that the her reps have been caught their lies. In 2008 the singer was first rumored to be a cutter when she was spotted with scars on her wrists, but her rep at Disney, Lillian Matulic, denied the reports,telling the New York Daily News that the tight plastic bracelets Lovato was wearing earlier in the day had left indentations on her wrist.

The most recent round of allegations came to light after photos of Lovato partying with friends at Beacher’s Madhouse surfaced online. The singer was spotted at the Hollywood hotspot with pal Kim Kardashian and was said to have spent the night dancing with Wilmer Valderrama, who she was rumored to have broken up with weeks ago.

According to the NYDN, the two broke up “three weeks to a month ago,” with sources saying it was a mutual decision.

Earlier this week Demi Lovato announced she was taking an indefinite break from Twitter, writing, “Twitter break. It’s for the best actually. Who allows me to have this thing anyways?!!! I just get myself in trouble! Haha. Anyway… BYE!”

Even if her reps deny she’s in rehab, we’re wondering what type of trouble she’s talking about.
